All charges have been dismissed against our 3 LFRL clients who were being federally prosecuted for “interfering” with ICE Agents outside of the NYC Immigration Court (They were actually advising immigrants of their legal rights.)

Lawyers For the Rule of Law is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3)
organization comprised of over 150 volunteer lawyers.
Our goals are:
To support and defend
the rule of law in the United States according to the Constitution, and consistent with democratic and ethical principles.
To build a nationwide coalition
of like-minded volunteer lawyers and organizations committed to protect our Democracy and the freedoms we hold dear.
To provide volunteer lawyers
at no cost, to protect the Constitutional rights of individuals in the United States.
To offer public education and guidance
that helps individuals understand and exercise those rights.

Lawyers Standing Up When Institutions Stand Down
We are a national network of volunteer attorneys committed to defending democracy and the rule of law—especially when those in power fail to do so.
We provide pro bono legal support to individuals unjustly targeted by government action. We file amicus briefs in critical cases, hold government actors accountable, educate the public about their rights, and work in partnership with aligned organizations to expand our impact. And we show up—on the steps of courthouses and in the streets—because it matters that people see lawyers taking a stand.
As lawyers we have both the skill set and the responsibility to stand up, speak out and most importantly take action. The rule of law means nothing without those willing to defend it—publicly, vocally, and without fear.
In this moment, silence is complicity—and we choose to act.
